Congratulations to the Mason Crest Elementary School English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Team of Brijana Anderson, Kimberly Mathews, Katy Padilla, and Danielle Park which was recognized in the "growth" category for its efforts in transforming learning for all by integrating into all school teams, offering instructional strategies, language scaffolds, and cultural responsive practices at the 2018 FCPS Excellence Awards Ceremony.

FCPS Receives $13 Million Grant from U.S. Department of Education to Support Student Mental Health
The U.S. Department of Education has awarded the first year of a five-year grant to Fairfax County Public Schools for $13.5 million to support a School-Based Mental Health Services Grant project.
FCPS Students Recognized with 2023 Regional Scholastic Art Awards
The Fairfax County Art Region of the Scholastic Art Awards recognized FCPS students with 174 Gold Key awards, 171 Silver Key awards, and 188 Honorable Mention awards. Four works by FCPS students were nominated for the best-in-show American Visions Award.
